Millionaire and billionaire Manhattan moms hire handicapped tour guides so kids can cut lines at Disney World

View showing monorail near Disney's Contemporary Resort hotel at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida

Concerned with 1 and 2 hour lines at Disney World for your kids? No problem, if money is not a problem. There is an efficient, market-based, work around solution for this. Especially if you are a millionaire or billionaire Manhattan mom (according to the NY Post).

This is how it works. All you have to do is hire a "Dream Tours guide" for about a $1000 a day to pose as family members so they and their rich kids can jump to the front lines at the Magical Kingdom. And the best part is: It Works!

One Manhattan mom reports: “My daughter waited one minute to get on ‘It’s a Small World’ — the other kids had to wait 2 1/2 hours. You can’t go to Disney without a tour concierge. This is how the 1 percent does Disney.”

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is the new Soda Dictator

Billionaire New York City Mayor Michael (the mouth) Bloomberg is at it again

Dictator: (via Merriam-Webster)
a : a person granted absolute emergency power; especially : one appointed by the senate of ancient Rome
b : one holding complete autocratic control

Yep, there he goes again.

Who? Well it is non other than New York City Mayor/Dictator Mike Bloomberg coming out with his latest sensation ("Crazy Notion of the Month?")

Mad Man Mike (Bloomberg) has proposed eliminating large sugary soft drinks in order to curb obesity. The New York City ban plan would make it illegal for food service establishments such as restaurants, street vendors, sports venues and movie theaters to serve sugary drinks that are over 16 ounces.

According to Mike Himself:
"Obesity deaths have grown to 5,000 and will soon exceed the number of smoking deaths [in New York City]. You can still be obese, we are just telling you this is detrimental to your health and helping you understand that with portion size."
Sorry (not really) Mike, Think Billions disagrees.

Long, live Diet Coke!

Boaz Weinstein, the guy with Jamie Dimon's money

Who is Boaz Weinstein?

The financial world remains abuzz with talk about all things JP Morgan, Jamie Dimon and billions in trading losses.

Also getting more attention is one of the guys on the other side of the transaction. The profitable side. The very profitable side. The extremely profitable side.

That guy is Boaz Weinstein who runs the billion dollar hedge fund called Saba Capital Management in New York.

Again, so who is Boaz Weinstein? Well, he is certainly a guy with a sense of humor at least. This is indicated by the above chart he included in a presentation at a financial conference recently.

Boaz Weinstein is a skilled chess, poker and blackjack player. He was graduated from the University of Michigan.  He became Deutsche Bank’s youngest ever Managing Director. He started Saba Capital in 2009.

That is who Boaz Weinstein is.

Have a nice day Jamie Dimon.

Mr. Greene goes to #OWS

Real estate billionaire Jeff Greene, who enjoys some truly interesting Hollywood friends such as Oliver Stone, Heidi Fleiss, and Mike Tyson, recently got a chance to visit New York City and Occupy Wall Street.

These are some of the things he discovered and commented on:
"To me Occupy Wall Street is symbolic ... right now it's like a college sit-in"

"It looks like a street fair to me ... people are buying cookies, musicians are singing"

"To me it's much ado about nothing ... they complained about the 1% versus the 99% and how the 1% rules government, and I said that it only takes 51% to put the person you want in office."

Mayor Mike Bloomberg: Get off my street!

"I don't appreciate the bashing of all the hard working people who live and work here and pay the taxes that support our city."

"The city depends on Wall Street. Let's not forget, those taxes pay our teachers, pay our police officers, pay our firefighters. Those taxes we get from the profits companies and the incomes, they go to pay for this library."

New York City tries to steal millions in "back taxes" from hedge fund manager

By LAURA SAUNDERS

What a difference four days can make.

Billionaire Julian Robertson won a $27 million tax case after he successfully argued that he wasn't a New York City resident for the year 2000 and didn't owe city taxes.

At issue was Mr. Robertson's whereabouts on four days during that leap year: April 15, July 23, July 31 and Nov. 16. The other 362 days were accounted for, with documentary proof of 183 days spent in the city and 179 spent outside. The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance argued that because he didn't have documentary proof for the four days, he was therefore a resident and owed city taxes of $26,792,341.
